“If we find nothing of interest where we are, we are likely to find little of lasting interest where we wish to go.” Edwin Way Teale“Running away is rarely a good idea, which is why I prefer to call this an adventure.” They say write about what you know. Well, this is the opening line in the novel I'm writing. I once ran away. I moved from the area where I was born and raised to get away from something, rather than go to something. I left my home, family, friends—who were my support system in time of trouble, and moved to a place where my closest friend was a 90 minute drive.
I eventually found the peace I was looking for, but not in my new community, neighbors, co-workers, or local politics. I found peace only from my personal quiet time with God. When I allowed his grace and mercy to wash over me, like a spring rain before the trees blossom, I felt light and worry free. I was able to face the problems of the world and the community around me without fear or dread.
”Keep your life free from love of money (things you think you need), and be content with what you have…” “…contentment is great gain.” Hebrews 13:5, I Timothy 6:6b

WelcomeI love the wisdom of the ages gleaned from relevant quotes. In them there is a connection to the human experience that crosses all borders. Join me as I relate my personal experiences, and link the wisdom of the quote to the Source of all wisdom: God's Word, the Bible. Enjoy, Libby Categories
